Hello everyone!

Summer  is here and Legion membership renewal is in full swing! Larry Trowbridge is our new Membership Officer and is doing a great job. This year our early bird renewal goes until September 1, with a drawing for $50 for those that make the deadline. So don't procrastinate, renew now and get a chance at the money!

We have added entertainment on every Friday night. On chicken nights is our usual karaoke; now on steak and rib nights we have added Brent Cole, who provides live entertainment mixed with karaoke. Of course, on fish nights we have the band, "Motor Folkers", which has become a big hit at the Post.

On September 24 we will have a golf outing dubbed "American Legion Post 215's 1st Annual Caddy Shack Sramble", at Limberlost Golf Course in Rome City. The first 18 teams to sign up with money paid will get in to the event. The cost is $30 per person or $120 per team. At least one team member must be a member of our Post. There are no cash prizes for winners - just trophies with a Caddy Shack theme. Of course, there will be closest to the hole and longest drive gifts as well. We ask each team to bring a "finger food" dish to share in the clubhouse. The idea is to have a day of fun!

As always, keep our uniformed military in your thoughts; they are the best of us all!

Greetings!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable celebration of our independence. I would like to thank all the volunteers for making my first two months so easy.

On August 6 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am will be a breakfast with proceeds going to benefit the Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team. It is open to the public so grab some friends and stop by for a great meal! I'd like to thank Craig Connelly for his efforts on membership - we were first to hit 100% last year.

Remember, steak nights are August 11 and September 8. Also, the Post is adding live entertainment on all our steak nights, so come in and have some fun!
