Hello everyone, spring is here!

Even though the temperatures have been a bit cold so far, the warming trend must be just around the corner.  So enjoy the weather, get those yards cleaned up and stop by the post for some good food, cheer, and friendly conversations around the bar.

Due to popular demand we have added a music night with Brent Cole one Saturday each month.  Brent brings excellent entertainment coupled with karaoke.  If you haven’t heard Brent then make sure you mark April 14 and May 19 on your calendar and join us for some great music and dancing.  You won’t be disappointed!!

Keep in mind that the April meeting is the last night of nominations for officer and board positions.  No nominations will be accepted after the April meeting.  The election will be at the May meeting and remember there are no write-ins on the ballot.

As always, keep our uniformed military in your thoughts.  They are the best of us all

Greetings,

I hope everyone is enjoying the warming weather. We have a lot of events this spring!

April 8 is a breakfast benefit for Cub Scouts, and of course our Steak Fry’s on April 13 and May 11.  If you would like to help fight cancer with us we are having a Hog Roast on May 12 for Relay for Life.  You can contact me on Facebook if you would like tickets, they are $10. A big thank you to Post 215, ALR and Auxiliary for donations to the SAL Relay for Life Team.

So, everyone mark those dates and come in to lend a hand.  Don’t forget the Bake Sales that are on every chicken night, bake up some goodies and bring them to the post to sell.

Happy Easter and Mother’s Day to you all.

Greetings!

Spring is here!  Our 50-50 winners were Ron Taylor, Mike Kessler, and Jordan Williams.  The Chili-Soup Cook Off was a great success.  The winners were Shirley Helmuth and Monte Powell and 50-50 winner was Pat Febles.  They were all good and made $900 for the nursing scholarship.  A special thanks to all of you that donate to support our veterans and children.

May 5 is the Kentucky Derby so put on your hats and come to the post for the race.  May is also Poppy Month and we will be collecting donations for the veterans.

There are still some unpaid dues.  Check your card, it should be 2018.

Prayers for Trudy Manderfeld who is doing better.  Have a happy Easter and Mother’s Day!  God bless family, friends, and veterans.
